Description of job and tasks involved
I am Head of Project Office and work as EU Project Manager/EU Project Officer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen. In this capacity I have different roles and responsibilities. In my role as EU Projects Manager I manage three medium scale FP7 collaborative research projects. In my role as EU Projects Officer I inform researchers about European research funding possibilities and support them in drafting proposals, mainly for European collaborative projects (FP7/Horizon2020). Besides the aforementioned roles I lead the Project Office of the Faculty, where I, together with a small team, offer administrative and management support for the EU projects coordinated by (researchers within) the Faculty and those projects in which the Faculty is a partner.

The research administration within the University of Groningen is carried out both at central and de-central levels. At the Faculty of Law the Project Office is mainly responsible for the administrative, financial and legal management of the EU projects coordinated by (researchers) the Faculty of Law and the overall coordination of the administrative, financial and legal management of EU projects within the Faculty.
