As the legal counsel of Research Services in University of Eastern Finland my main duty is to help researchers to reach agreements needed and wanted relating to projects with external funding by negotiating, advising and commenting the agreements in preparation phase and consulting researchers in possible problem situations and conflicts regarding agreements. I’m advising the researchers and other staff of university also in the internal processes of university regarding agreements.
With approximately 15,000 students and 2,800 members of staff, the University of Eastern Finland is one of the largest universities in Finland. The university’s campuses are located in Joensuu, Kuopio and Savonlinna.

Research Services offers the members of the University of Eastern Finland staff expert services in the fields of R&D activities, external funding, contracts and intellectual property rights. Research Services is an active link between the university and its most important funders. We work in close cooperation with other Finnish universities and polytechnics, and our sphere of interaction also involves business partners.
