Description of job and tasks involved
As the project manager, I am responsible for creating an environment that fosters creativity, communication, transparency, and inclusion of all researchers, departments and project partners throughout each implementation phase of the project life cycle. This further includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Assisting faculty and staff in applying for EU funding (i.e. completing necessary administrative forms, highlighting the rules and regulation of the grant, submitting proposals, seeking necessary approvals and gathering necessary documents, following up of an grant application, etc.);
- Providing information about open calls, conferences and workshops;
- Organizing individual and group training sessions for faculty and staff interested in applying for EU projects;
- Serving as a liaison between faculty staff/researchers and various administrative offices (i.e. Finance Office, Legal Department, Public Relations, Human Resources, etc.).

The Project Management Office at IUS is dedicated to applying consistent project management practices that will help IUS fulfill its mission and strategic goals. It is responsible for the centralized management of IUS projects and archives. Moreover, IUS has the Research and Development Center (RDC), a modern research facility, which provides laboratories for different scientific fields.
